Video Production is where we take different type of footage and combine them together. I learn how to transition from one image to another and make it look smooth. This skill is valuable for my future if I want to create a video I would know the process that it takes.
The PSA Agriculture Video was a collaborative work between my video and science teacher. It’s is an informational video about the different conditions chickens live in. All videos and pictures have to in high resolution and resized to minimize black space. The PSA video had to include appropriate music and examples of professional voice over. My partner and I needed to use numerous examples of different type of motion key frame to enhance the out video. For my science teacher it had to include 4 examples of informational text. I had to visit different websites in order to gather information on the topic. I learned that if I used too much motion keyframe in my video it doesn’t make it look good but worst. This work tells me that sometimes I over do something thinking that it would enhanced my video but it doesn’t.
My partner and I had to apply technological skills for the 21st century in order to finish this project. We used Adobe Premiere to put the image, text, voice over, and music together. Also in order to turn in our project we used google classroom. I had to think critically and creative in order to choose the right music and images. Also when there was not enough pictures My partner and I had to look for another way to show how chickens are mistreated. I could improve in self directed learner who communicates effectively because at first the project was confusing but I didn’t communicated with my teachers.
Two of the the most important things I learned in this class was to minimize the special effects and how to choose the music to intensify the message that I’m trying to express in my video. The skills that I learned in this class will help me in the future to make the process of my videos in this class easier.
In Video Production 1 the requirement where to choice a clip and write a script on it. As well we needed to recreated as much as we could. My found script was a short clip from home alone. I decide to do this because it’s one of my favorite movies and new that if I choose something that I would like I would do as best as I could. The learning objective where to e a director, actor and camera person. The steps that I took to succeed in this project where that I learned some acting skills from Adrian our acting coach. I found a clip and wrote the script as well I include the shots. The final step was to choose my actors and some people that would help to shot my video. The process was hard but I learned that I need to be well-prepared if I want to recreate something and that it’s not as easy as it looks. The two SLO I demonstrated while completing this project were using my 21st century technological skills and knowledge as well thinking critically and creatively. I demonstrated my 21st century technological skills because I use video editing app in order to make my video appear the same. I changed some of the clips to be black and white. I demonstrated thinking critically and creative because at first I didn't’ knew how I wanted the shots to be but later on I came around and my team as well. I could improve on self directed learner because I personally think that I wasn't’ such a good director and that sometimes I got myself and my team confuse because I didn’t knew what I wanted. This will help me in the future because when I work in a team and I am the leader I would learned from mistakes and guide them in the right direction.
