In Economics we learned accounting and vocabularies that would help us understand economic. Knowing this is important for me because in the future if I ever want to start a business, then I would be able to keep track of my money. As well I would be able to share my knowledge and advice any relatives that are interested in starting a business.
At first it was hard. When Mr. Tennant showed us the cheat sheet I didn’t understand anything. Their was debit, credit, liabilities, assets and owner’s equity. I wasn’t able to comprehend how all of that connect with each other. Later when he explained himself I understood it more. When time passed it started to become easier. I chose this artifact because it was the highest grade I got on economic in Edgenuity. It was one of the hardest tests but by studying I was able to get a good grade.
The two SLO that I showed where self directed learner and thinking critically. For economic it was a two part, one part was working on packets with Mr. Tennant as a class and the other part was working online independently. I was a self directed learning because I was able to finish my online course on time and didn’t fall behind in class. Thinking critically was one of the things I had to really the most. Since we had to work with number if I made one mistake and didn’t notice than my numbers wouldn’t come out balance and I would have to redo it all over. But when that happened I went and check every number one by one until I found my mistake.
To conclude knowing economics would help me in the future. Either as a customer, employee or a business owner. I would be able to calculate how much I need to invest and how much I would be able to spend without going bankrupt.
