In Agriculture Science is where we learn about what type of practices the farmer used for chickens. We learned about all the practice and to close the lesson we did a video that had pictures and information on it.
The PSA Agriculture Video was a collaborative work between my video and science teacher. It’s is an informational video about the different conditions chickens live in. All videos and pictures have to be in high resolution and resized to minimize black space. As well the information had to be appropriate and it had to to be true. In order for us to finish the project we did research and we checked that the sites we were on were reliable.
My partner and I had to apply technological skills for the 21st century in order to finish this project. We used Adobe Premiere to put the image, text, voice over, and music together. Also in order to turn in our project we used google classroom. I had to think critically and creative in order to choose the right music and images. Also when there was not enough pictures My partner and I had to look for another way to show how chickens are mistreated. I could improve in self directed learner who communicates effectively because at first the project was confusing but I didn’t communicated with my teachers.
Two of the the most important things I learned in this class was that I need to pay attention to both class restraints. As well that if I wanted to finish on time I had to work with my partner and share the same amount of work.
During the class of Agricultural Environmental Science, the learning objective were to learn and understand what is climate change, what are the causes and effect it has on our environment. This is valuable to my future because knowing what’s happening in my environment would help me decrease my carbon footprint. The project that I am submitting as an artifact for Agricultural Environmental Science had the following learning objectives; understanding climate change, be able to argue that climate change is real and make a google site showing what I know. The project was about climate change and required me to do research, write notes in my journal and understanding key vocabularies that I used on my website. The Process I went through to do this project and meet the learning objectives first started with a previous knowledge assignment. I wrote about what I knew and heard about climate change. To start of I pretty much didn’t knew that much, I knew that it was happening and somewhat what was causing it but thats all. This links back to how much effort I put into learning more about the cause and effect that climate change has in the ecosystem. This tells me that I learned many things that involved climate change. The two school wide learning outcomes I demonstrated with this Artifact are self directed learner and thinking critically and creatively. I have demonstrated self directed learner because even though we work on the project in class, I had to do research and write down information that I would need to include. The second SLO I demonstrated was thinking critically and creatively because my website had to be attractive and informative. I could have improved in using technological skills because I should have added more effects to my website and research the topic even more. Overall the the most important things I have learned in this class this year are the importance the greenhouse gases has on our climate and the effects it causing on it. These skills I have learned in this class will help me in the future by preparing me to discuss about climate change in an intellectual manner.
